December 8, 2025: Canada has added a new immigration pathway for doctors with Canadian work experience. This is part of the government’s plan to address the shortage of doctors in hospitals and clinics.
Who Can Apply?
Doctors who have worked in Canada can apply if they meet these rules:

Worked in Canada for at least 12 months full-time (or the same in part-time) in the last 3 years.

Worked in one of these jobs:

This new category recognizes doctors who already have Canadian experience and want to continue contributing to the healthcare system.
