Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held Express Entry Round 383 on December 8, 2025, issuing 1,123 invitations under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) category.
The minimum CRS score required was 729, which reflects the additional 600 points awarded to candidates who receive a provincial nomination.
This draw highlights that applicants with lower core CRS scores can still receive an ITA through Express Entry if they secure a provincial nomination. At the same time, it’s important to note that not all PNP streams are linked to Express Entry, so candidates must ensure they apply through a program that offers an Express Entry–aligned nomination.
What This Means for Candidates
If you received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) today — congratulations! With your provincial nomination and enhanced CRS score, you can now begin preparing your permanent residence application. Make sure to gather your documents, follow IRCC requirements carefully, and submit your application within the deadline.
If you are in the Express Entry pool but were not invited, remember that PNP draws work differently from CEC or FSW rounds. The high CRS cutoff of 699 is a direct result of the 600-point nomination boost. Core CRS scores for nominees are typically much lower.
If you are not yet in the Express Entry system, now is a good time to consider creating your profile and exploring provincial nominee programs that match your background. A PNP nomination remains one of the most effective ways to secure an ITA.
